Built for parents.
Built for families.
Day 1 Recovery Center was created to give parents engaged in substance use disorder treatment a safe and supportive environment to practice the skills they are learning and apply them to everyday life.
Through family-centered support, personal development, and housing stability services, we help parents build a strong foundation for long-term recovery and family reunification.
Meet
Jasmine.
She is 28 years old. Six months sober. Working two jobs. Parenting classes complete. Her children are still in foster care — not because she hasn't done the work, but because the system around her hasn't caught up.
Jasmine represents every parent who is fighting to reclaim their family, one day at a time. She is exactly who Day 1 Recovery Center was built for.
"The barrier is no longer recovery.— Who Jasmine is fighting for
It is housing, coordination, and support."
To promote long-term wellness, resilience,
self-sufficiency, and
generational success —
one day at a time.
Day 1 Recovery Center empowers individuals, young adults, parents, and families impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, justice system involvement, foster care experiences, housing instability, poverty, and trauma.
Through personal growth, life skills development, family strengthening, parenting education, reunification support, workforce development, and housing stability services — we provide the tools, resources, and support needed to create lasting change.
"Lasting change happens when new skills are practiced consistently in everyday life."
— Day 1 Recovery Center
A future where every family
has the chance to heal.
We envision a future where every individual, young adult, parent, family, foster youth, former foster youth, and justice-impacted person has the opportunity to heal, grow, reunify with family when appropriate, obtain stable housing, achieve economic independence, and thrive in a supportive community.
"Free from the barriers of addiction, homelessness, trauma,
system involvement, and poverty —
families deserve the chance to begin again."
Jasmine's vision is simple: to tuck her children into bed every night. To be present at school events. To build the kind of home where healing replaces trauma, and connection replaces fear.
At Day 1, we believe Jasmine's vision is possible — and we are committed to building the bridge between where she is and where she deserves to be.
Heal & Grow
Every person we serve deserves the space to heal from past trauma and grow into the life they envision for themselves and their family.
Reunify & Reconnect
Where appropriate, families belong together. We work to reunify parents with their children and reconnect individuals with their communities.
Achieve & Thrive
From stable housing to economic independence, we support the long-term success that allows every family to truly thrive — not just survive.
Recovery is built one day at a time.
Recovery is not built through information alone. Lasting change happens when new skills are practiced consistently in everyday life. Day 1 provides a safe and supportive environment where parents can strengthen their recovery, rebuild family connections, develop healthy routines, and create a foundation for long-term stability.
Who Are You Becoming?
Every behavior begins with a thought. Every decision begins with a belief. At Day 1, we encourage parents to slow down, reflect, and examine the beliefs and behaviors that have shaped their lives. Through self-awareness, accountability, and daily practice, parents begin creating healthier patterns that support long-term growth.
Lasting change is not about becoming someone new — it's about uncovering the strengths that have been there all along.
What Does Connection Look Like?
Trust is not rebuilt through one conversation. It is rebuilt through consistent actions, healthy communication, accountability, and showing up day after day. Many parents carry guilt, shame, or fear surrounding their relationship with their children. At Day 1, we help parents focus less on perfection and more on presence.
Strong families are built one conversation, one moment, and one act of love at a time.
What Becomes Possible?
When every day is focused on survival, it can be difficult to think about the future. Stability creates space for growth, healing, and new opportunities. At Day 1, we help parents build the foundation needed for long-term success through housing support, resource navigation, life skills development, and future planning.
Housing is not the destination. It is the foundation from which families build the future they deserve.
At Day 1, we believe that every parent — and every family — deserves the chance to begin again.
The foundation of everything we do.
The Day 1 program is built upon these key areas of growth, support, and stability that help parents create lasting change for themselves and their families.
Recovery is strengthened through daily action, personal responsibility, and consistent support. We encourage parents to apply the skills learned in treatment to everyday life and build healthy routines that support long-term success.
Growth begins when individuals take ownership of their choices and commit to positive change. Accountability creates the foundation for trust, progress, and personal transformation.
Strong family relationships create the foundation for healing, stability, and reunification. Through healthy communication and meaningful interactions, families can rebuild trust and strengthen bonds.
Lasting change begins with self-awareness and a willingness to grow. Parents are encouraged to develop new perspectives, healthy coping skills, and confidence in their ability to succeed.
Safe and stable housing provides the foundation needed for long-term success and family well-being. Stability allows parents to focus on recovery, parenting, employment, and future planning.
Meaningful change happens when individuals and families are surrounded by encouragement, resources, and connection. A supportive community helps reduce isolation and strengthens long-term success.
Recovery is a series of daily choices.
At Day 1 Recovery Center, we understand that recovery is not a single decision. It is a series of daily choices supported by accountability, community, and consistent action. We are committed to helping parents build the confidence, skills, and stability needed to strengthen their families, achieve reunification goals, and create lasting change for future generations.
"Every family deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and begin again."
